As part of its ongoing investments and growing visitor interest in Metsä Board’s Äänekoski factory, Movya was tasked with creating a visitor safety video to help prepare guests for a factory tour.

The factory area is extensive, featuring various zones such as the paperboard machine, sheeting lines, laboratories, warehouses, and offices. The video is shown prior to the tour and is an essential part of the visitor guide toolkit.

Movya developed a visual and narrative script for the video, which covers topics such as an introduction to the factory, arrival procedures, personal safety, process and product safety, and emergency protocols.

The video was filmed in one day with a crew of three. Metsä Board personnel served as the actors, under the direction of Movya. Volunteers from Metsä have been enthusiastic participants in many of our projects, as the filming days are well-organized, enjoyable, and provide a welcome break from daily work.

After filming, Movya carried out comprehensive editing and added special effects to enhance the footage. Symbolism, highlights, and mini-animations were incorporated to simplify and emphasize the key safety messages, making them both easy to understand and remember.

The video also includes a voiceover, but thanks to the well-planned scenes and additional effects, it can also be viewed without sound. This makes it ideal for locations like the lobby, where sound may not be practical.

The video was well-received and is now in use at the factory. It has also been translated into several different languages. Movya has successfully co-operated in other safety-related videos with Metsä as well.
